This research focuses on the study of gender dynamics in organizational settings. Focusing on organizational and individual processes, the theme encompasses organizational culture, leadership and diversity issues, work-family interface, career choice, advancement and progression and turnover and retention. Projects also examine the complexity of interpersonal relationships at work, stereotyping, discrimination, tokenism and affects of skewed gender ratios. Current projects are primarily in two areas: the work-family interface, and women in under-represented occupations.
This research program is led by Dr. Karen Korabik, Department of Psychology, University of Guelph (retired).
